Children Heaping Hands

About the P&C

The Parents and Citizen’s Association ("the P&C") is an active group of parents and community members committed to supporting Bulimba State School. Working closely with the Principal and school staff, the P&C strives to enhance the learning and social environment for all students at the school.

The P&C's key aims are to:

  • encourage close cooperation between the parents, members of the community, teaching staff and students.

  • provide advice and recommendations to the Principal on issues and concerns around the operation of the school.

  • encourage parent participation and involvement in the school.

  • be the forum for parents to discuss issues pertaining to the school and its community and for gathering opinions.

  • promote and support communication and cooperation within the school community.

  • provide extra resources for the benefit of students through fundraising activities.

P&C support through fundraising activities and lending a hand is vital to the delivery of programs and resources that enhance and enrich the educational experience of our children. Why not get involved!

School Council - Parent Members

Bulimba State School is an Independent Public School administrated by a School Council. The Council includes parent, student and teacher representatives. The P&C Association President and two parent representatives are members of the School Council. Contact the Council at schoolcouncil@bulimbass.eq.edu.au for more information.

P&C Operations

There are insufficient volunteers to deliver all of the essential services provided by the P&C. This requires the P&C to supplement its team with paid full-time, part-time and casual employees. These essential service delivery areas include Outside School Hours Care, Smart Bites food services and administration.
